I live and work from my home in Melton Mowbray - The Rural Capital Of Food, which has provided a great environment for me to develop my love of cooking and baking. With a past steeped in a lust for great baking and cooking it has been a natural progression to love to cook for my friends, family and the public. I am a Wife to Andrew and Mum to Edith and Molly. I have worked in catering and hospitality for 17 years, and since having Children I have decided to take my baking business online, named after my childhood home.
I am a lover of great ingredients, and turning them into great food. My background is in both cooking and art as I studied fine art and illustration at university but focused my time more on cooking and baking scrumptious food.
My chocolate brownies by post business began in November 2015 (and has been on pause due to babies arriving) but my recipe has been perfected over the last 10 years. Bakery Cottage Brownies are always fudgy, gooey with a crisp top and never dry! They are great warmed and served with cream or great cut into bite size chunks to feed a bigger crowd.
